Here’s a brief history of who I am and what I do: In 2012, I graduated from the University of Arkansas, Sam M Walton Business school with a management degree and minors in art studio and real estate finance. I then landed a job as an Account Manager for a small advertising firm. I loved it! I directly managed strategies and all moving pieces for agency clients. It was during my time here that I developed a real interest for design and branding. I took an Illustrator certification course and began teaching myself design. At first, this was to better manage the relationship between clients and designs but it became much more. At this point I started working for Redman & Associates as a social media manager. I was able to use my new skills as a designer while managing all marketing activities for their multiple brands. I had the opportunity of creating branding, web presence, and social accounts for multiple new products, then develop and execute digital marketing strategy. From there I ventured out on my own focusing on freelance design & marketing while embarking on a little project called The Little Movement Shop. I run this with my sister, Keely Bowen.
Now working as a Digital Strategy and Design Consultant, I manage social media accounts, strategic marketing plans, digital ads, brand influencers, and creative projects including: social media artwork, social media posts, website elements, logo design, branding packages, event flyers, product manuals, product packaging, brand manuals, online advertisements, and print advertisements. . I also have a lot of experience working with Shopify. With some clients, I work on a monthly management fee (created custom for what they are needing) and for other clients we work on one-off projects. If you are needing anything, please email me and we can figure out what works best for you! [email protected]

In January of 2013-2017 I partnered with Donna Smith to open The Shed, a studio/ exhibit space in downtown Fayetteville. The Shed was a place for artists to show work that comes out in the making process and may have come about after starting a new direction or changes in the process. When beginning any new skill set or work, it is challenging to un-hide it from the studio and put it into a public space. However, we encouraged this work, still new, fresh, and vulnerable, to unveil itself in our space. The Shed encouraged discussion, exchanging of skills and ideas, and the general merriment that occurs when bringing together artists from the region.
With my personal artwork, I am interested in abstracted landscapes and patterns. I normally represent these spaces through a lens of bright, vibrant colors. Initially these patterns I work from are naturally derived and then become abstracted, allowing color to guide the space into an imaginative state. Even if the viewer does not recognize what the image is, I hope that they will see the hidden beauty of the small patterns found within.
